Stera expands its Finland operations to Vaasa

Stera Technologies Oy strengthens its technological offering by investing in the tool design and manufacturing business. The business operations of CM-Tools Oy's Vaasa unit will be transferred to Stera as of 1 December 2019. The skilled personnel of the Vaasa unit have decades of experience in tool design and manufacturing. Operations are specialized in cutting and deep drawing tools, aluminum die-casting molds and other various tools used in production processes.

 By the completed business acquisition, Stera follows its strategy and strengthens its service business which will enable our customers to benefit contract manufacturing expertise at an earlier stage in the product development phase. Additionally, Stera’s tool maintenance and repair functions ensure the reliability of customers' own production throughout the products’ life cycle. From now on Stera is able to offer its customers even more comprehensive and extended service concept and thereby strengthening its position in the contract manufacturing field.

 Stera continues traditional tool manufacturing activities in Vaasa in close co-operation with its existing tool customers. Innovation of new potential business models will also be launched with existing and new potential customers right from the first day.
